Summary
Dragonwatch: Wrath of The Dragon King is the second book in the series. It takes place about a week after the events of the first book, and the plot picks up right where it left off. The dragon king invites Seth and Kendra to a feast where they will be guests and not harmed, and during this feast the king declares war on them. The dragons kill the griffins that transported them to the castle, and the group have to walk back home which will take them almost a week. The dragons also destroyed a bridge on the most direct route home, and it seems that the dragons have been planing this for a long time.
As they are walking back they run into some rumitaurs that have allied with the dragon king. They force the group off the protected road, and as soon as they step off two dragons come out and attack them. Kendra is captured, and Seth is cornered, but the Somber knight comes and helps Seth then goes to take the dragons caretaker-ship away. The dragons are in full on war now and attack them on sight, but the good guys get to a safe part of the preserve. With new information they decided that on the summer solstice they will enter the stormguard castle where the secret wizenstone is hidden.
In the castle there are three brothers that turn people to metal with a touch, and they are all competing in a competition to get the wizenstone first. The only way to move on is to work together, and there are other challenges after that. The team eventually passes through the challenges and survive to make it to the wizenstone, but the dragons also have made it there. Kendra in a last ditch effort to make sure that no one gets it, she uses the banishing rod to make it go very far away. Along the way Seth gets his memories wiped, and he is taken by the enemy shown how to use his abilities and is told the enemy's are good.

"He stared at the door, perplexed. He did not know where he was. He held up his hands, but they were unfamiliar. He seemed to be a kid. A young teen? He did not know his own name. How did he know nothing about himself or where he was? Wasn't he somebody? What possibly could have happened"(389).

I like this quote because it was very unexpected. They introduce the idea of Seths memories being wiped only a couple of pages before this, and as a reader I thought they would find another way because they always do. It is instant as well as soon as he turns the key to the door he can't remember a thing. It is just a weird concept to have in the book, but I liked it.
